Oakley Country Club was incorporated in 1898 upon two principles: First, to provide an opportunity for outdoor sports and second, to provide a congenial meeting place for friends. Although many changes have occurred during the past 120+ years, these principal purposes remain the foundation of Oakley's reputation and success.
Donald Ross would grow from his initial employment at Oakley to become one of the legendary golf course architects of the twentieth century.
As a Club that was established in 1895 and incorporated in 1898, Oakley's history is deeply intertwined with the origins of golf in America. Today, our Members are both honored and respectful of our historic past while at the same time, excited to create new history!
Situated atop Strawberry Hill, our elegant ballroom features grand windows overlooking our championship golf course and a sweeping view of the Boston skyline.
We will be happy to assist you in planning a spectacular event!
